We build installations the way an inspector wants to find them

Much of our work is testing and inspecting occupied commercial and educational buildings. We see what goes wrong years after a fit-out — unlabelled boards, missing records, circuits nobody can trace. So when we install, we do it to be tested, maintained and extended later without guesswork.

What We Install

Commercial Electrical Services

From a single new circuit to a full floor fit-out. We can work from an architect’s or consultant’s drawings, or survey and specify smaller schemes ourselves.

Office Fit-Outs (Cat A & Cat B)

Base-build lighting and distribution for Cat A, and tenant-specific Cat B works — desk power, floor boxes, meeting rooms, kitchen points and comms room supplies.

Shop & Retail Fit-Outs

Display and track lighting, till and counter power, signage supplies and shop-front circuits — scheduled around trading hours and opening dates.

Restaurants, Cafés & Kitchens

Commercial kitchen supplies, three-phase equipment connections, extraction, and front-of-house lighting for hospitality refits.

Distribution & Sub-Mains

New and replacement distribution boards, sub-mains to additional floors or units, and RCD, RCBO and surge protection to current requirements.

Supply Upgrades & Three-Phase

Maximum-demand assessment for new equipment or change of use, and the information needed for a network operator supply increase.

Lighting & Controls

LED lighting with presence and daylight controls, external and car park lighting, and emergency lighting installed, commissioned and certified.

Refurbishment & Strip-Out

Safe isolation and making-safe ahead of strip-out, temporary supplies during works, and rewiring of tired or extended installations.

Commercial EV Charging

Staff and visitor charge points with load management, sized against the existing supply.

Working in Occupied Buildings

Your Business Keeps Running

Most commercial installation happens in buildings that are still in use. We agree working areas, isolations and noisy tasks in advance, keep critical circuits live wherever possible, and phase work or schedule it out of hours where the job needs it.

On larger fit-outs we work within the project’s CDM 2015 arrangements — planning and managing our own work and cooperating with the principal contractor and other trades. We can work directly for the owner or tenant, or as the electrical contractor on a wider build.

Before any work on an existing installation we check what’s there. If we find something unsafe, we tell you straight away and explain the options — we don’t connect new work to a defective installation.

Common Questions

FAQs — Commercial Electrical Installation

What types of commercial premises do you work in?
Offices, shops, restaurants and cafés, surgeries and clinics, schools, community buildings, managed residential blocks and light industrial units. If the building is occupied while we work, we plan around that from the start.
Can you work while the building stays open?
Usually, yes. We agree working areas, isolations and any noisy or disruptive tasks in advance, and can phase the work or schedule parts of it out of hours where needed. Arrangements are confirmed in the written quotation.
Do you provide RAMS?
Yes. Risk assessments and method statements are provided for all commercial work before we start on site.
What certification will we receive?
New installation work is certified to BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 with an Electrical Installation Certificate and schedules of test results, or a Minor Works Certificate for smaller alterations. Emergency lighting we install is commissioned and certified. You also receive updated circuit charts and labelled distribution boards.
Can you work alongside a main contractor or fit-out company?
Yes. We can work directly for the building owner or tenant, or as the electrical contractor on a wider fit-out, cooperating with the principal contractor and other trades under the project’s CDM arrangements.
Do I need a new supply or a three-phase upgrade?
It depends on the connected load. We assess the existing supply and maximum demand against what you plan to install, and where an increase is needed we can help prepare the information required for the network operator application.
How is a commercial installation priced?
After a site visit we issue a fixed written quotation with a clear scope of works. Larger projects can be priced in phases to support budgeting. Any change to the agreed scope is priced and agreed before it is carried out.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Chislehurst and carry out commercial installation work across South East London, Kent and Surrey, including Bromley, Blackheath, Greenwich, Eltham, Sidcup, Orpington and Beckenham.
