Commercial EICR
& Fixed-Wire Testing
Structured inspection and testing of fixed electrical installations — with clear circuit records, prioritised findings and practical information for maintenance planning.
A useful EICR is more than a pass-or-fail document
The inspection should establish the condition of the installation within an agreed scope, identify safety concerns and leave records that support proportionate maintenance. We agree access, limitations and operational constraints before testing begins.
Commercial Testing With Clear Records
We plan the work around the building, distribution system and operational needs. The report records what was inspected and tested, any limitations, the observations raised and the recommended interval to the next inspection.
Support for Planned Electrical Maintenance
The Electricity at Work Regulations require electrical systems to be maintained so far as is reasonably practicable to prevent danger. HSE guidance identifies inspection and, where necessary, testing as an essential part of preventive maintenance. An EICR can support that process, but it does not by itself discharge every duty or replace ongoing maintenance.
Commercial inspection intervals are not set by one universal rule for every building. The appropriate interval depends on the installation, its use, environment, condition, previous findings and any relevant dutyholder, insurer or sector requirements.
Where records are incomplete, we can combine testing with electrical asset mapping and consistent board identification so future maintenance teams can understand the distribution system more quickly.
